Frequently Asked Questions - Spring Season

Why did Dewberry Farm decide to go Cashless?

There were several factors that we used to make the decision to go Cashless. By eliminating cash, we can have quicker transaction times and lower wait times. Being cashless allows Dewberry Farm to operate more efficiently and effectively.

If you arrive at the farm with cash, you may purchase your admission ticket with cash and then proceed to Guest Services to purchase a Dewberry Farm gift card. Besides the Country Store, all locations within Dewberry Farm will only be able to accept credit/debit cards or a Dewberry Farm gift card.

Can we bring our own food & drinks to the farm?

Unfortunately, you are not allowed to bring your own food or drinks into the farm. We do allow bottled water.  We have lots of concession stands from which to choose.

Are reservations required?

For the Spring Fest, reservations are not required.

What are the hours and pricing at the farm?

Please check our calendar for information on hours and pricing.

Does everyone need to pay admission?

Everyone aged 3 and above will need to purchase an admission ticket. Discounts are offered for senior citizens (age 60+).

Is smoking or vaping allowed on the farm?

Smoking and vaping are not allowed on the farm. Guests may smoke or vape in the parking lot away from the ticketing area.

Where is Dewberry Farm located?

Dewberry Farm is located at 7705 FM 362, Brookshire. We are eight miles north of Interstate 10. From downtown Houston it is approximately a 50-minute ride. It takes 20 minutes to drive northwest from Katy Mills Mall.

What is the pet policy?

Service animals are allowed on the farm. However, we do not allow pets or emotional support or comfort animals.

Are photographs allowed at the farm?

We welcome guests to take personal pictures on the farm. There are lots of photo-ops available all around the farm. Professional photographers are welcome to come during the fall, but they and their clients must pay admission to enter the farm. No props are allowed. Professional photographers can make reservations to bring clients to the farm for Christmas Tree sessions in November. There is a link from our front page to make these reservations. Christmas Tree photography is not permitted during the Spring Fest or Fall Festival.

Are strollers or wagons allowed?

Absolutely. Strollers and wagons are encouraged! Strollers are not permitted on the Dewville Express train.  Stroller parking is provided near the Train Depot.

Is Dewberry Farm wheelchair accessible?

Most of the public areas have either paved or hard-packed surfaces. There are some areas where wheelchairs are not accessible such as the Black Hole.

Where will we be able to see what concessions and activities are open?

We've gone digital! We will have QR codes posted around the farm to download a list of each day's open concessions and a map of the farm.  The farm map can also be found on our website.

What is the rain policy?

The weather forecast is checked carefully to determine if the farm should be closed for a day or weekend. If the farm is closed, the information will be put on our website as well as Facebook page. If it starts raining while guests are on the farm, some activities will be closed for safety reasons. If the rain is going to continue for hours, it may be decided to close the farm. If the farm is then closed, rainchecks will be given to customers who request them before departing the farm.

Can we celebrate a birthday at the farm?

Yes! We welcome you for such happy occasions. We no longer offer birthday party packages, but you are welcome to bring a cake,  balloons and certain decorations (sorry, no pinatas or confetti), as well as snacks and non-alcoholic drinks from home.  We have lots of picnic tables available in our public areas for you to use at no charge.  If you prefer a private, reserved area we recommend booking a Fire Pit for the whole day.  All party guests aged 3 and older will be required to have a ticket to enter the farm.

Does the farm have fruit to pick?

Dewberry Farm does not have any berries or other types of fruit or vegetables to pick. During the Fall Festival, we have pumpkins from which to choose the perfect one for yourself. At Christmas time we offer thousands of Christmas trees from which to choose, cut and take home.
