Lots to Eat

Come Hungry!

We’ve got more places to EAT than you can shake a stick at! Now, why do folks say that, anyway? Who would want to shake a stick at pizza, cookies, ice cream, barbeque, etc.? It’s for eatin’, folks! Wander on down the page to get a hint of what we’re cooking up for the season! Note that some of our concessions are seasonal!

The Parlor

Featuring hand-dipped Blue Bell Ice Cream, including such concoctions such as floats, sundaes, old-fashioned ice cream sodas. Also: Pie á la mode! (Seasonally, you can get Blue Bell Ice Cream at other locations around the farm!)

Mattie’s Kitchen

Located inside the pavilion, Mattie’s is a good place to come inside for a while and take a load off yer feet.  BBQ sandwiches and plates, stuffed baked potatoes, chili, hot dogs, Frito pies (mmmm good!), pies and cakes, chips, candy, soft drinks, tea and water are available.   Hot chocolate and coffee will warm you up on the colder days.  Guests are welcome to dine in our large pavilion, under the tents or at the picnic tables scattered around the farm.

April’s Sweet Shoppe

Folks are still talking about our fresh country treats!  Leave your will power at home and indulge in 16 delicious fudge flavors, fresh baked cookies and pies, and old-fashioned candies.

Stop right here!
If you don’t buy a ticket, ya can’t eat!

Papa Joe’s Kettle Corn

Be sure to eat lots of crunchy kettle corn while at the farm and grab a bag or two to take some home. It’s better than cereal for breakfast!

Little Larry’s Lemonade Station

As a boy growing up in west Texas, Farmer Dewberry always wanted to sell lemonade.  But only 2 or 3 cars passing the farm a day at 60 mph limited his sales opportunities.  Fortunately, he did have a lot of time to develop his special recipe.

Snow Cone Heaven

Buy the “snow” and pick a flavor from the 25 dee-lectable and dee-lightful ones we have on hand!

(The Famous) Rooster’s

Yo! Rooster Balls are back by popular demand.  Also available at Rooster’s: Corn Dog, Burgers, Fries, Corn in a Cup, Chicken Tenders, Funnel Fries, Kolaches,  chips and drinks.

Ole Zeke’s Watering Hole

Visit Zeke’s Watering Hole to see our Yankee covered wagon that completed a long journey from Pennsylvania to Texas.  We will have six old-fashioned soda flavors, like Root Beer, Sarsparilla, and Crème Soda.

Piggy’s Pizza Shop

The all-time favorite kids’ meal — pizza!  It’s a huge hit (except with our racing piggies, as losers may end up as a topping).  Piggy’s sells hand-made pizza pies or pizza by the slice right out of the oven.

Auntie Annabelle will be cooking up fried Oreos (huh?!), chicken-on-a-stick, and fresh lemonade. Just the kind of stuff to make yer fingers sticky and make you wanna come back for more! Also–visit the Soda Wagon (kinda like an old chuckwagon) for mmmm good old-fashioned sodas.

The Pit

Two favorite delights — Turkey legs and roasted corn will be available in this building, along with sausage on a stick.

Change in our Food Policy:

In previous years we did not allow outside food or drink to be brought onto the farm on weekends, but now you are allowed to bring your own food and drinks.  Coolers will be checked. Absolutely no alcohol or glass is permitted on the farm.

We are currently closed for the season. We hope you'll visit us during our Fall Festival beginning in late September. Due to Social Distancing guidelines in place to help stop the spread of the coronovirus, all Spring Field Trips have been cancelled.
