What’s New for 2010!

October 2, 2009

Big changes are planned for Dewberry Farm for the 2010 season.  The biggest change will be that Dewberry Farm will no longer be open on Saturday nights.  Of course that means the fire pits will be eliminated and not so obvious is the plan for the Lighted Pumpkin Stroll.  Many families missed out on the Pumpkin Stroll because their little ones could not stay until dark.  To solve the problem of darkness being needed for the lighted pumpkins, the pumpkins will be moved into a new large building.  The theme will be a stroll through the woods on a full moon night complete with crickets, fireflies, owls and of course, over 500 artist carved lighted pumpkins.   Past visitors to the Pumpkin Stroll loved the stroll down the tree lined lane.  We think they will like Pumpkin Hollar even more, plus no mosquitoes, no mud and best of all, no waiting until dark.

Also planned for 2010 is the addition of a third Jumping Pillow, more pedal carts, a second Black Momba, more slides and bridges on Fort Dewhickey, a second blaster cannon, a new party pavilion for large groups, more bathrooms, new ticket buildings at the north gate to speed admissions, and more food selections.

Other minor changes are planned to make your visit to Dewberry Farm as pleasant as possible.
