The votes are counted and we have the winners of the 2007 Fall photo contest. This was really hard to decide! We received over 100 entries and the quality of the photos was outstanding. The field was narrowed to about 45 photos by the Dewberry Farmers and then the farmers and some long time employees voted. A total of 10 judges voted, each submitting their 5 favorites ranked in order of preference. Thirty one photos received votes which shows that the level of competition was very high. The first place winner receives 10 tickets to Dewberry Farm plus 50 activity tokens. Second place receives 5 tickets plus 25 tokens. There was a tie for third place so both winners will receive 5 tickets to Dewberry Farm. Even though the contest rules did not provide for prizes for anything other than the top 3 winners, we have decided that due to the high quality of the photos, we will award 2 Dewberry Farm tickets to the photo entries placing in the top 10. Carrie Norman won 1st prize but also had 2 other photos that tied Jason Manley and Nancy Darley for 5th place. Nancy Darley also tied for 3rd place with another photo. Olga Negretova had the 9th place winner. Lea Mansell and Jo Atherton tied for 10 th place. We will be using many of the photos submitted to the contest in our "Farm Fresh Photos" section of our web site. Thanks to everyone who took the time to submit photos. There will be another photo contest this coming Fall so stay tuned!
