Farmer Dewberry and his merry elves are busy planting the 2008 crop of Christmas trees. Over 3,000 Virginia Pines and 2,000 Leland Cypress seedlings will be planted in nice straight rows this year.
The 2007 crop is about 1 to 2 feet tall while the 2006 crop is pushing 4 to 5 feet tall and should be ready for families to come to the Farm this December to cut their own Christmas tree. We can hardly wait! Christmas in the country! Mark it on the calendar now. Starting the Friday after Thanksgiving, we will shift gears from pumpkins and corn mazes to Christmas trees. No admission charges, lots of good food and drink, and most of the activities will still be operating.
